Primary and Secondary Schooling

The primary and high school education system is governed by state and territory governments. Generally speaking, it is compulsory for children aged between five and fifteen to attend school. In each state and territory, the government offers free public education. Churches and other institutions provide private education, which is fee based. Depending on your visa category you maybe required to pay full school fees at public schools.
