Santiago Saavedra, Queensland University of Technology and Sebastian Diaz Gasca, Griffith University
Santiago Saavedra
Santiago Saavedra followed his father to Brisbane following the completion of his high school studies in Colombia.
Before he could undertake university studies, he had to complete a TAFE course, where he met Sam, who was keen to learn Spanish, and here he was, talking to his friend in Spanish. Perfect!
Their friendship developed: Sam learnt Spanish and she helped Santiago improve his English. For Santiago, his move to Australia opened up possibilities not imagined in Columbia.
He has almost completed his Bachelor in International Business at the Queensland University of Technology, and is enjoying the benefits of living in a multi-cultural society and using his new found language skills at an international level. Perfect!

Sebastian Diaz
When Sebastian Diaz arrived in Brisbane from South America to study music at Griffith University he was looking for inspiration. He was intrigued by the way music can change the emotions of the storyline in a movie or how a player interacts with a video game.
After completing his Ph D, Sebastian wants to pursue a career in producing music in Hollywood. He is at the beginning of a long journey and will face many challenges.
Sebastian will need to be able to produce music across many different genres and be able to capture the audience's imagination with his music. Will Sebastian have what it takes to realise his dreams?
