Our Client, the Local Government Association of SA (LGA) is the peak body for Local Government in South Australia and is highly regarded as a representative body with significant levels of influence within the sector and State and Federal Governments. The LGA enjoys 100% membership of the sector and the affiliation of every similar body in the State, such as those catering for regional areas not under the jurisdiction of a Council.
The CEO is key to the success of the organisation, leading the secretariat, the pivotal link between the LGA Board and the secretariat and playing a key role in establishing and utilising key relationships within other levels of government for the betterment of the Local Government sector, therefore Councils and communities across the State.
We seek a new CEO to drive strategic change management and a high performance, constructive and collaborative organisational culture to ensure delivery of continued best service to the LGA’s diverse stakeholder base. Your inspirational leadership style backed by advanced interpersonal communication skills will enable you to focus on delegating to and empowering staff to achieve individual accountability for performance.
You will support the Board and its Executive Committee on matters as diverse as planning reform, legislative reform, regionalisation of service delivery, economic development, including trade missions, strategic advice and implementation of Board policies and directions.
