Pharmacist (Mid North and Yorke Region) Applications Close: 5 July
Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacist with experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment, you will apply general clinical experience, knowledge and professional competence to contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive and integrated range of pharmacy services.
Your role as a first class professional is to contribute to the appropriate, effective, safe and cost efficient use of medications for all clients of the health service, both for inpatients and as the patient is transferred between episodes of care.
You will provide a clinical pharmacy service to a broad range of clinical areas including medical, surgical, emergency services and some cluster activities to reach the state wide Key Performance Indicators in support of the state/Commonwealth agreement ensuring quality use of medicines. Your duties will also involve medication reconciliation and review, dispensing and pharmacy team support in quality improvement.
Thriving in challenging and dynamic environment where high level communication skills are essential, you will hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent and be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Able to work in a team or independently as required, you will possess sound organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. With experience in clinical pharmacy services, you will be professionally and technically competent in clinical pharmacy practice, pharmacy production, drug dispensing, provision of medicines information, patient counselling and general dispensary and pharmacy procedures. Modern drug knowledge will also be considered favourably. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Criminal History Check.
