Kirsty fell in love with Tommy in Fremantle, Western Australia. Kirsty was from a farming family in Eyre Peninsular in South Australia, and Tommy was a brash young lad from a dairy farming family in Ireland. Both were on working holidays around the world, following a bereavement for Kirsty, and for Tommy – on a break, following a young life spent working hard to maintain the family farm.

Business and Investment Visa Programme
Australian Governments are actively encouraging business migrants to set up businesses in regional, rural or low growth areas of Australia.
The business skills visas are designed to attract successful business people to settle in Australia and use their proven skills to support local economies and generate employment outcomes.
Sponsorship by an Australian State or Territory government is a requirement of this visa category. All business skill visas are provisional for a period of four years, after which the visa holder may apply for permanent residency status. A business talent visa is the exception to this requirement.
For all visa classes, an applicant must be able to:
- Demonstrate an overall successful business career; record of investment or business activity;
- Demonstrate a commitment to establishing a business or investing in Australia, and;
- Show the need to be a temporary resident in Australia.
An Expression of Interest must be lodged. Once an invitation has been issued by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, a visa application can be submitted. The completion of a comprehensive business plan and/or details of significant investment proposals are important components of an application.
